Our school programs are designed to promote creative problem-solving, imagination, and critical thinking in young minds. We run competitions that encourage bright students to extend themselves in subject areas in which they take a passionate interest.
Students are able to select one of several approaches to our prescribed topics, producing pieces of creative writing, analytical essays, or poetry as their competition entries. We reward our winning students with cash prizes and public speaking opportunities at our events. Winning entries are also published on our website. All entrants receive a Certificate of Participation.
In addition to the experience and sense of pride students gain from participating in our competitions, our school programs expose students to the Humanities 21 community. This encourages students to see a humanities education has great value in life after school.
Our annual competitions are listed below, with links to more information about each one.
